Currently based in Atlanta, GA, Kat Stockton is a Background Department Director at Floyd County Productions. She has worked on a variety of animated projects including Frisky Dingo, Archer, Unsupervised, Chozen, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The League. 

Kat was enthralled with art and animation throughout adolescence.  She went on to be traditionally trained by the Atlanta College of Art and The Savannah College of Art and Design and received her BFA in Fine Art and minored in Illustration. She embraces traditional media while maintaining over sixteen years of Photoshop Experience.

-Developed technical art packaging for animation backgrounds on multiple productions

-Developed testing for new hires that is now used studio wide

-Developed production specific training for the background department

-Increased efficiency (number of backgrounds per day per artist) by creating library of assets accessible by the artists, standardizing and maintaining organized server file system, and streamlining order of background production to minimize recreation of scene aspects and increase consistency.

-Managed teams of up to 10 people per production, included assigning backgrounds to best utilize team members skills, setting deadlines for deliverables from team members, reviewed and finalized files from team members to maintain quality and consistency in productions.

-Liaison between background team and other departments within productions.
